There may be a time when tooth removal is the only viable option.  This may be due to severe infection, trauma/injury, orthodontic treatment, extra teeth in the mouth, and troublesome wisdom teeth.

In cases of severely impacted teeth, you may be referred to a specialist.  An OPG or big x-ray will be required to assess the tooth prior to extraction.  The procedure and the risks will be explained to you.
